Definition of pigments

Natural pigments exist inside plants and they are harmless. Some of them are chlorophyll, xanthophyll, crocetin, tannites, carotenoids, flavonoids, etc.

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) ensure, by constantly making checks the quality and nutritive value of these pigments so consumers can use food without any side effect,
